Project Overview:

OIL, a Maharatna PSU, was looking to expand power generation at its Tengakhat facility through cleaner, gas-based solutions. GPI deployed three 2000 kWe MWM natural gas gensets under challenging logistical and environmental conditions.

Challenges:

  • Remote site with limited accessibility
  • Harsh weather conditions affecting equipment handling
  • Synchronisation with existing plant utilities

Execution Strategy:

A phased delivery model was adopted—ensuring that installation, testing, and commissioning progressed with minimal disruption to existing operations. Local manpower was trained for operation and maintenance to ensure smooth post-handover functioning.
