Project Overview:

DLF entrusted GPI with the E-60 maintenance of its gas generator systems at Building No. 5—a premium commercial hub. The scope was comprehensive and technically demanding, involving the complete overhaul of high-capacity gensets.

Challenges:

  • Tight working windows to avoid affecting commercial tenants
  • Precision engineering needed for components like piston-liner assemblies and bearings
  • Requirement to improve component longevity and reduce breakdown frequency

Work Carried Out:

  • Dismantling and assembling of cylinder heads
  • Mounting of liner-piston assemblies and connecting rods
  • Main & big-end bearing inspection and fitting
  • Modification of BOP motors: Replaced plastic cooling fans with custom aluminum casing and fan blades to reduce mechanical failures
  • Installed lubricating oil heaters inside GT lube oil tank to ensure performance during winter months
