SCHMITT ENERTEC , (SE) is one of the leading companies in Germany, in the business of Energy Production with variety form of Gases like, Natural Gas, Bio Gas, Sewage Gas, Producer Gas etc.

SE has almost 30 Years of experience in Engine Technology with Intelligent equipment design & innovative product development in controls. SE has more than 500 MW of Gensets & CHP Units running successfully world wide. Out of these more than 60 % are outside Germany in various European Countries, USA, China and South East Asia. 

The Gensets manufactured by SE are on the basis of Proven Mercedes Benz Engine & ranges from 80 Kwe to 400 Kwe. SE Engines are produced in a state of the art manufacturing facility covering 16600m2 of total factory area, in Mendig, Germany. These machines are high on efficiency and low on emissions & maintenance costs. 

• For over 30 years, SE been dedicated to the generation of economic and ecological electricity using combined heating and power units dreven by Natural Gas, Biogas and Special gases.
• SE was founded 1976 by Franz Josef Schmitt. From the starts as engine repair business with 2 employees the enterprise developed to a mid size company with over 100 persons employed.
• Since 1998 the company is owned by the two sons of the founder and works under the name SCHMITT ENERTEC GmbH.
• SE products are popular not just in Germany. More than 70 percent of our CHP units go to customers in Europe and overseas, tendency rising.
• SE is based in Mendig which is centrally located at the intersection of Europe’s key transport routes, which means our customers are close and enables easy communication.183.000 sqft site here in Mendig is where we produce gas engines, CHPs, Generator Sets and wood gasification plants.
